Forum Title: SWG vs chlorine and closing

Is there any difference closing a SWG pool than a chlorine pool? The pool store is closing our pool, and I'm mostly curious about anything they might put in the pool. So, do you add anything to the water to close it?

No difference. Just make sure they do not use algaecide with metals or copper. The salt cell will need to be removed and kept inside during the winter. I purchased a dummy pipe (arriving Tuesday), and will keep this in for the winter.
