Forum Title: IG deep end drain staining upon opening
I have a 23,000 gallon kidney-shaped gunite inground pool. This is just my second year owning this home/pool. I had it closed by the local pool store and when I opened it, the water was only slightly cloudy. Ive shocked and added some other chemicals and in 48 hours I'm Crystal clear. However, I have a pretty big and unsightly stain around the deep end drain. Could this be from the antifreeze the pool store used for closing? Or just some organic matter? It doesn't vacuum up and is more dark than blue. how could I start to get rid of it? Thanks! PS I know, I know... hiring the pool store. I am hoping this community will help me avoid that again...!

Probably organic from worms, leaves etc. It should begin to go away with brushing and good chlorine levels.
