Forum Title: Accidental Grand SLAM - do I just wait it out?
7am, FC was zero and we're ready to SLAM. Blue water but super cloudy. Pool math calc said to add 442oz of 6% bleach to reach a SLAM level of 28. (CYA was 70, SWG) I added 2 186oz jugs plus half of another - approx 450oz. 8:45am checked FC and it took 135 DROPS = 67.5!!! (used 25ml for test sample so 1 drop = .5) CC took 3 drops = 1.5. Do I need to worry about that? Or just wait for it to come down on it's own? (While we brush and vacuum, of course) My husband understands the filter system better than I do and it's not working great at the moment - which isn't ideal mid-slam - and he's at work. Looks like I need to go do more homework for that one. We do have a pump in there helping to circulate the water (part of the heating system that isn't hooked up yet). Also, at what point do I turn the SWG on? (salt is at 2800 and we added more yesterday so waiting for that to register/dissolve completely) Will that help with the SLAM? or do I wait for the SLAM to be over before I turn it on? so thankful for all y'alls help!

If you used 25ml sample, I think that you would do 1 drop = .2 ppm. That would give you a FC of 27... More or less right on the money.

I was totally reading that wrong!! Ugh. Yes, it was right. I'll use the 10ml test from now on. Thank goodness I don't have to use that much reagent every time during the slam!!
